It's pretty easy to find a bank of slot machines at a land-based casino that has a sign above it telling you exactly what their payout percentage is. You can find some 98 or even 99% payback machines, but that's only going to be on that bank of slots. The other machines in the house will be set up to make up for the lost revenue.
All in all though, you can expect a payout rate of about 92% on the nickel slots in Las Vegas, at least according to some research done by the Wizard of Odds on the subject.
