Christmas Slots Tournament

author Posted by: admin on date Dec 22nd, 2008 | filed Filed under: Tournaments

Yes, there are plenty of Slot Tournaments taking place over the Christmas holidays this year.  One of them is the big $100,000 Holiday Feast tourney on the Cleopatra’s Pyramid machine. It’s taking place at English Harbour, by the way.

This tournament actually already started, it just that I’ve been busy finishing up my Christmas shopping, so I haven’t had time to settle into any slots action until just now.  It began on the 17th, but it runs until the 4th of January, so there’s more than enough time left in the event to make a big impact.

The top prize is $15,000.   That’s a nice prize to start the new year.  But, better than that is the fact that they’re paying out the top 9,400 places.  So basically, everyone’s a winner.

Right now I’m looking at the tournament lobby for the Holiday Feast tourney, and there are 1,267 player who have signed up and taken their spins on the reels.  Think about it, if they’re paying the top 9,400, it’s looking like your chances of landing in the prize money are pretty good!

It’s a $10 entry fee to get into the tourney.  That’s for me at least, if you are new to the casino, English Harbour will throw in a free entry into the tourney if you deposit between today and Sunday, the 28th.

Now, that’s the “Big” slot tourney going on at EH.  There are also a series of smaller tourneys as well . . .

They’re running a set of freerolls - with a twist.  Firt off, the games are taking place on the new $5 Million Touchdown slot game.  And yes, they are free to enter.  The twist?

The prize is not awarded to the player in first place.  Instead, the money is going to go to the player that finishes in the same place as the day on the calendar.  For instance, today is the 23rd of December.  So, in today’s freeroll (which runs from noon until midnight) the player that finishes in 23rd place wins the prize.

That, is different.

Speaking of different, when I visited the English Harbour website, I noticed that the welcome bonuses were out of line.  Instead of the $450 max that they’ve been offering to new players for months and months, it says that the current max is 100% of your first four deposits, for a grand total of $800.

Heh, and to think that when I signed up the max was $35.  How things change.

Pre-registered Microgaming Account

Christmas is certainly a time when my mailbox gets a workout.  It’s usually mixed bag of holiday greeting from friends and family (those who still put pen to paper, that is), and a steady supply of sales books/offers, etc.

Well, to my surprise I just received a package from a Microgaming casino that I hadn’t heard of before.  The fact that there is a Microgaming that I hadn’t heard of is somewhat odd to begin with.  the fact that I’m on their mailing list is odd as well.

Usually a mailing like this includes a disk of the casino’s games, and this one was no different.  But what WAS Different is the fact that they had already signed me up as a player.  Here’s a quote . . .

“Your account has been pre-registered and credited with $500 free”

Now the $500 was part of one of the popular “$500 for wagering during the first hour” promotions.  But, since Microgaming has essentially shut their doors to new players from the United States, I thought that this was an interesting situation.

Instead of me signing up, they must have pre-qualified me as someone who isn’t from one of the “heavy 11″ states, which come to think of it has expanded to include Kentucky.  At any rate, if you are stateside and don’t have an account at any of the Microgaming casinos, I can’t tell you where or how to get “pre-registered” like this, but I thought I’d post about my surprise experience to let you know that there seem  to be some backdoors open.

Maybe you should consider calling up customer support at a casino that interests you and inquire about them registering you?  Anyway, just a heads up on the happenings in the world of online slots.

My Slot - Customizeable Game

author Posted by: admin on date Dec 2nd, 2008 | filed Filed under: Microgaming

Finally!!  I had this idea for a slot machine years ago, but somewhere between the idea and the computer programming it all fell apart way before it was any fun to play.  but, now the folks at 32 Red Casino (a very reputable UK gaming house that uses Microgaming software) has launched a Personalized Slot Machine!!

The My Slot personalized slot machine lets you add your own symbols to the reels!!

Want to see pictures of family, pets, the biggest trout you’ve ever caught, photos from that vacation of a lifetime, the prettiest rose you ever grew, or anything else on the reels of a slot machine?  Well, now you can have it!!

Select your own sounds, background colour, free spin settings and more.

All your My Slot themes will be based on 5 reels with the following specifications:

MySlot Features Details
Reels 5
Paylines 9
Coins per Payline 5
Max Coins 45
Wild Symbol Yes
Free Spin Trigger Symbol Yes. 15 free spins with a x3 multiplier.
Scatter Symbol Yes
Feature Yes - Free Spins

Online casinos are always adding slot machines to their lineups, but now they’ve broken down a door and are able to let the slot machine players start to the slots.  After all, now you can choose any theme that you want to a video slot, and spin away.

You can build your own online slot machine at . . .

Unfortunately Microgaming casinos are no longer taking new players from the U.S.  and this option isn’t available to US players.
