this week’s free slot tournament at English Harbour is underway. I just took my first set of spins in the tourney, and i’m sitting in the money for the moment. I’ll have to keep half an eye on how things develop so that i STAY in the money.

The tournament is taking place on the King Solomon’s slot machine that I’ve played before.   There is NO CHARGE to enter the tourney and they are paying out the TOP 490 spots - to a total of $3,000.  Not bad.  I’m sure you can sign up at their sister casino as well . . .

In other slot tourney news, I did end up in the money for my last tournament - and I’m not sure how.  So I have a couple of extra bucks in my account to play with over the Easter Holiday Weekend!  Ok, that’s not really slot machine news. 

The March Madness Slot Tournament wrapped up recently, with the top dog taking home $150,000, and four other players taking home $10,000.  In fact, EVERYONE in the tournament received a payout!  Nice

 

I’ve heard of some other big money slot tournament action, and once I go take a look at it I’ll report back probably in the next post!

Obviously it’s their new promo.  AND it’s part of a “VIP club” that it looks like they must have just released.  I can’t imagine that it has been in place for long becuase I have to think that I would certainly have noticed.  either way, it’s there now!

So . . . let’s take a look at what’s new!

they all seem like they got together and now there’s one place for all of the players to keep track of their “comp points”. and now, players get a chance to spend their comp points on things they want. I like it!

I’m glad to see that they’re doing this - setting up a player rewards website. And I’m glad to see that you can redeem your points for more than just cash! although, redeeming caomp points for cash is definitely a good thing.

The online poker rooms ALL have some set-up like this, where you earn comp points by playing. And then you can cash them in for tournament entries, or merchandise, or whatever. Now slots players have that same kind of power.

There are T Shirts, which I’ll take a pass on to be honest. I’m more the Captain’s Beach Chair kindof person. There are also electronics and sweepstakes entries you can buy into. That’s great - a kind of thank you from the casino, and the power to get something that YOU want. nice!

I don’t see myself sitting in front of my computer for an extra couple of hours trying to get enough points for an iPod. But, if I was playing anyway, having the chance to cash in points and get something for them is GREAT!
