The new Rock On slot machine from Rival Gaming is a pretty unique slot machine. It is the first slot that I've seen from anyone that has a Guitar Hero based bonus game that you can unlock. The "Rock On" slot itself is a video slot game, with 20 paylines, so there are more ways to land a winner than you can keep track of. And all of the symbols keep the "rock" theme.
You'll find thinly veiled tributes to rockers from various historic rock bands, along with guitars and drum sets on the reels. The drum set symbol unlocks Free Spins, so it's nice to see them landing as the reels come to a stop.
The Green Explorer shaped Guitar is an Expanding Wild symbol. Like any other WILD symbol, it can be used as a substitute for almost any of the other symbols to help complete winning combinations on a payline. And, if you can make use of the WILD, it willexpand vertically to cover all three reels in that column. That certainly adds to the power of the symbol, and makes it possible to create even more winning combinations!
And as fun as those two symbols are, they don't compare to the big guy on the reels - the Elvis Icon. He is the key to unlocking the BONUS ROUND.

BONUS ROUND: The bonus game is a skill game, which means it is possible to be bad at it. It is basically a version of Guitar Hero, on a slot machine. Notes drop down from the top of the screen on what looks like strings on a guitar. Use your mouse to move a guitar pick (which is at the bottom of the screen) so that the note lands on your pick, and you win coins!
And there are different songs on a "set list", so each time you unlock the bonus game, you'll be jamming to different tunes, picking up coins along the way!
OVERALL: I like it, a LOT! The slot machine itself has a couple of great features with the Free Spins and the Expanding WILD symbol. But, the bonus game is what makes this different from oh, any other slot machine online.
